Our General Medical Camp

The Artistic Bliss and Lake Region Empowerment Network, in partnership with Dr. William Okang’a Ajwang and the diaspora team, organized a unique General Medical Camp in Suba North from January 27th to 31st, 2025. The camp featured specialist consultants from the UK, including experts in rheumatology, internal medicine, diabetology, family medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, women’s health, and menopause, alongside clinical officers and nurses.  Attendees received top-quality services,  at no cost.

Day one

We kicked off our free medical camp with a Processional Walk from Kamsama Centre to the health centre, marking the official launch of the event. The camp saw an impressive turnout of 250 patients, all benefiting from essential medical services.

This initiative was made possible through the incredible support of the Kajwang Foundation, Senator Moses Otieno Kajwang, Lake Region Empowerment Network (LREN-Kenya), Dr. William Okang’a Ajwang, the Diaspora team, Prince Richard Healthcare Clinic, and Equity Afia Hospitals. Their dedication and generosity played a crucial role in making this event a success, ensuring quality healthcare reached those who needed it most.

Day Two

Day two of our free medical camp was done at Nyakiawo Health Centre that was marked by an overwhelming response from the community, further highlighting the need for accessible healthcare. With the continued support of the Kajwang Foundation, Senator Moses Otieno Kajwang, Lake Region Empowerment Network (LREN-Kenya), Dr. William Okang’a Ajwang, the Diaspora team, Prince Richard Healthcare Clinic, and Equity Afia Hospitals, we were able to serve even more patients with essential medical care.

Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide consultations, treatments, and medication, ensuring every patient received quality care. The impact of this initiative was truly inspiring, reinforcing our shared commitment to improving community health.

Day Three

Day three of our initiative focused on community engagement in Kasgunga Ward, fostering meaningful interactions and promoting health awareness. With the unwavering support of our partners and sponsors, we engaged residents in discussions on preventive healthcare, wellness practices, and access to medical services.

The session provided a platform for open dialogue, addressing key health concerns within the community while strengthening partnerships for sustainable healthcare solutions. The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm reaffirmed the power of collaboration in driving positive change.

Day Four

On the fourth day of our medical outreach, we extended our services to Ang’iya in Mbita Sub-County, continuing our mission to provide accessible healthcare to the community. With the invaluable support of our partners & sponsors, we were able to reach even more individuals in need of medical attention.

The day was filled with medical consultations, screenings, treatments, and community health education, ensuring that patients not only received care but also gained knowledge on preventive health measures. The warm reception and high turnout reaffirmed the importance of bringing healthcare closer to the people.

Day Five

Our five-day General Medical Camp, hosted by The Artistic Bliss and The Kajwang Foundation, in collaboration with Dr. William Okang’a Ajwang’, the Diaspora Team, and Lake Region Empowerment Network (LREN-Kenya), successfully concluded with 1,066 patients receiving medical care in Suba North, Homa Bay County.

The final day saw a continued commitment to providing essential healthcare services, including medical consultations, treatments, and health education, ensuring that every patient was attended to with compassion and professionalism.

This achievement was made possible through the dedication of our partners, healthcare providers, and volunteers, whose tireless efforts brought hope and healing to the community.
